We are a boutique gallery that is located in the center of Boynton Beach's Cultural District. We are a husband and wife local artist team. Our portfolio ranges widely from photography, painting (modern and classical styles), hand painted pottery, textile design and our exclusive clothing design line.

James Knill's oil paintings are a unique exploration of color theory and composition. It is a distinct style that combines an application of color and hue with depth and abstract expressionism.

Amanda Johnson's Florida style portraits embody, and celebrate, women with the use of color and design. Amanda's love of flowers translates into a beautiful blossom of modernism. Amanda also turns her paintings into one of a kind textiles used for home and fashion.

Del Sol Queen: Amanda Johnson

Amanda Johnson

My work with crowns started long ago with our family tradition of Christmas crackers, a tradition from our friends across the pond. This practice and my fascination with kings, queens and other strong figures fueled my desire to craft these elaborate crowns. Soon I was being asked to make crowns for people’s birthdays and special events. Sometimes when a friend was down or sick I would make them a special one. I always made one for my dad’s birthday. That’s really what so special about these crowns. Each is hand made so that, like people, no two crowns are exactly alike. Wearing a crown is a proud declaration of self. The crown speaks to who we are and what inherently makes us unique.
I draw influence from notorious hat maker Philip Treacy, artist and jewelry designer Andrew Logan, HRH, beauty pageants, the Mexican Day of The Dead, and Frida Kahlo. Wherever I see a strong presentation of identity, I’m enamored.
On top of this collection, I also custom make them for bridal parties, showers, birthday parties, weddings, graduation parties or just because. They are the perfect gift for someone who has everything or is hard to buy for. Each crown comes in its own clear box so that when you’re not wearing them you can display or store them safely.
My crowns can be bought at Snappy turtle, Amanda James Gallery or you can call to order them.
To the Royal in all of us.

Amanda Johnson and James Knill of the Amanda James Gallery have created a site specific installation for Saks Fifth Ave at The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The Amanda James Gallery is located in Boynton Beach at 412 East Ocean Ave and is a contemporary collection of both their art works. Amanda and James are a husband and wife team that enjoy working and collaborating together. Their artworks are known for their signature use of color, style and design. Both Amanda and James utilize a wide range of mediums for creating their artworks. James Knill is a painter and a photographer. Amanda Johnson is a painter and a textile designer.

The dynamic duo have come together and created a collection of sizzling vivid pinks and oranges. Amanda and James wanted the work to be modern, bold and yet somewhat playful and whimsical. Some of these art works incorporate fringe and garland and move playfully with a breeze creating a point of visual interest in an otherwise still window setting. Their inspiration springs from influences like Alexander Gerard, the 6o's, Mark Rothko and Mery Meko, flavored with their own unique touch.  "Divine Pink Dream"  is a collection that fuses fashion, art and design. The collection is joyful, modern and edgy, capturing the essence of "The New Modern".

We invite you to come see for yourselves! The collection "Divine Pink Dream" can be seen in the second floor mall entrance windows and the entrance wall gallery. Please feel free to ask for more information or visit Amanda and James at their Boynton Beach gallery.
